Il évolue ensuite sur différentes positions opérationnelles en région parisienne avant de devenir Inspecteur de Sécurité de La Défense auprès de la DRSD, autour de Paris et en Guyane française. Spécialiste en recherche de renseignements humains et techniques, en contre-ingérence, en lutte anti-compromission et en protection du secret, il rejoint le secteur privé où il occupe ensuite les fonctions d’OSS chez Dassault Aviation à Istres, avant de rejoindre les organisations internationales à Genève où il est successivement Adjoint, puis Responsable de la sécurité, à l’Organisation Mondiale du Commerce (OMC) ; Chef du service de coordination des Organisations Internationales pour l’Europe de l’ouest, à l’ONUG (UNDSS) ; ou encore Chef de projet au Bureau International du Travail (BIT).
