Douglass Cassel is a scholar, attorney and commentator specializing in international human rights, international criminal and international humanitarian law. He is a Board member and former President of the Due Process of Law Foundation, as well as a member and former President of the Board of the Justice Studies Center of the Americas, to which he has been elected three times by the Organization of American States. He has served as consultant on human rights to the United Nations, Organization of American States, United States Department of State and Department of Justice, and the Ford Foundation. He lectures worldwide and his articles are published internationally in English and Spanish.
