Elvire Meier-Comte is Vice-president and Head of Human Resources for Airbus Defence and Space Operations since October 2019. In this role, she is Members of the board of Operations and responsible for all HR activities, people and company culture topics for production, quality, supply chain and procurement worldwide.
Prior to that she worked 18 years at Siemens in diverse Leadership positions and businesses (Information and communication, transportation, healthcare) in the USA, China and Germany. She started her career in corporate strategy, marketing and sales and spent almost 10 years as Senior Advisor for the Chief Technology Officer. Her responsibility was to anticipate disruptive innovation with impact on business models and highlight them as basis for decisions in the Siemens Managing Board. The so-called “SMART innovation” from China and India has been her area of expertise and led to changes of the global research and development organization. She was also leading digitalization projects for the Technology- and Human Resource Board Members and implemented the use of bottom-up communities to drive a sustainable change with high impact.

Since 2021, she is also active as non-Executive in diverse institutions (Member of the Steering Committee in the German-French Future Forum driving societal transformation in implementing a bottom-up approach with local political entities, Member of the Transfer Board of the University of Hamburg). Elvire is also very engaged in supporting gender diversity and the development of women with mentoring and coaching and designing specific leadership development programs.
Elvire Meier-Comte supports by conviction the development of value-based Leadership, authenticity and empowerment as people’s foundation to deal in a fast-changing world. She is French, has started her career 20 years ago in China and Singapore and lives in Germany. She graduated at the University Potsdam (PhD), the University of Metz- Saarbruecken (MBA), the University Salzburg and in Sciences Po. Since 2012, she is also a certified Executive Coach (ICF, ACTP) and relationship coach (ORSC).
